A Jamestown Landing Double Double!

20170616_144437
Two days of back to back Jamestown Landing means a whole lot of neutral strings in So Cal!

With the beautiful California sun shining outside the large windows of our wonderful workroom space, we came, we sewed, we laughed, we chatted, we made new friends who had traveled in from San Francisco and from Arizona and beyond!

When I was contacted with the inquiry of adding a second workshop day because the first one was already full with a long waiting list, I asked what they would like me to teach the second day.  “Two days of Jamestown Landing!” was the reply, so everyone had a chance.

That made it easy for me, and I readily agreed.  Jamestown Landing is one of my favorite workshops to teach.  What’s not to like about string blocks and half square triangles?

Meet Mary!

Mary came into our classroom today to let us know that she lives across the street from our Jamestown Landing workshop location. Her sweet daughter lives up in Oregon and has participated in several of our Quiltville mysteries in the past. Mary came over to grab a quick photo to send to her daughter to say "Nananananana!'

I so loved meeting you, Mary!

Beautiful, beautiful blocks!

You’ll find all of the fun from our two days in the slide show below:

After yesterday's workshop was done, we headed out to LAX.

I met up with The Hubster who had finished his week in Santa Barbara –we are flying home together!

Yes, LAX is a parking lot.

Much prettier at night!

I'm on my way home!

I can’t thank the Camarillo and Orange Grove quilters for the wonderful experiences they’ve blessed me with this week.  I hope it won’t be too long until our paths cross again!

I’m headed to the airport – it’s a cross-country hexie stitchin’ day!

  1. I forgot you were meeting up with your hubster to fly home. How fun was that? Flying across the country is the best way to go. Happy Hexie-ing. Have a restful week-end.

  6. I just looked through your patterns and do not see Jamestown Landing. Is this pattern in one of your books and where can I find it. Looks like something my 11 yr old grand's would love to make.
